Completed in 1870, the Cape Hatteras Light Station is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the Outer Banks. Moved to it’s current location in 1999, the lighthouse is operated by the National Park Service, and overlooks one of the most notorious shipwreck areas in the Atlantic.
